To vote for Mark Carney as the next leader of the Liberal Party of Canada you need to verify your identity, then vote. Here’s what to do, and when to do it:
Your Voter ID is required for the next step. If you didn’t receive your Voter ID code by email, you can request it here: https://secure.liberal.ca/get-my-voterid
Complete this step between February 20th and March 7th at 5:00PM EST. Detailed instructions will be emailed to you.
The voting period will begin on February 26 at 8 AM ET, and will close on March 9 at 3 PM ET.
Once you verify your identity, and when the voting period opens, you’ll receive voting instructions by email to cast your ballot electronically at vote.liberal.ca
Everyone will need to verify their identity and address. You may also need proof of Canadian citizenship, Permanent resident status, or status under the Indian Act.
When verifying your identity be sure the information on your identity documents matches the information shown when confirming your eligibility.
Most voters will cast ballots online. After verification, and if you are eligible to receive a ballot, information will be provided when voting opens. Some will be authorized to vote by phone at the discretion of the Chief Electoral Officer
