OTTAWA – The following statement was issued by Mark Carney, candidate for Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada:
Pierre Poilievre is at it again – with a new slogan, but the same lies and tired ideas.
While he continues to try to divide people, I want to unify Canadians to build an even better Canada.
We need a new leader and new ideas to stand up for Canada as Trump threatens our sovereignty and economic prosperity. It’s clear that Pierre Poilievre is not that person. No one who runs down Canada will stand up for it. No one who imitates Trump can negotiate with him for Canada. No one who tells you Canada is broken will put Canada first.
I love this country, and as Prime Minister I’m going to work around the clock to make the greatest country in the world even better.
